PanelDaemon is a free web based Microsoft Windows Service Applications manager. It can be used under the MS IIS on Windows XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003 and 2008. It can also be used in conjunction with couple of other Source Forge products the FireDaemon Pro or FireDaemon Trinity. The tool can be operated through the web or a mobile phone thereby giving you remote control over these Windows services. You are able to view, start and stop any windows service that includes FiireDaemon. FireDaemon trinity can substitute the IIS if you like. PanelDaemon allows you to view all the services on your Windows desktop or server and obtain information in regard to running services and respective processes. The detailed status is shown in a clean display. One row per service is the arrangement. First column is a green/red indicator show if the particular service is running followed by the service name.

Next column indicates if the start up type is manual, automatic or if the service is disabled. Identity and the process id are the next two items of information followed by two controls "select" and "view/edit". That clearly shows how intuitive the interface actually is. Controls and icons on the tool bar are also fairly simple to follow, particularly for administrators who will be using the tool. Users can be set up who can control specific services. Customization includes using skins that include corporate logo. This tool can be a boon to your remote management needs. Best part is it is free!
