This is a GUI development tool for data acquisition and SCADA systems.
ModCom 8.1 is a free Windows software. Development of the human machine interface is a vital part of data acquisition and SCADA systems. Data Acquisition & Control, HMI / SCADA, Industrial Automation, Home Automation, Process Control, Test & Measurement, Data Logging, etc. can be used effectively when this HMI interface is able to help operators. It helps if the controls are intuitive. ModCom is a GUI-based HMI development platform created with the non-programmer in mind. You do not need any special skills to use the program effectively. Developing a sophisticated yet an intuitive control panel is quite simple with this tool. You are not going to need any programming skills. Data-acquisition systems, that use data modules that could be stacked up to create a necessary number of acquisition channels, can have a suitable front end designed easily with this tool.
Instrument gauges read external sensors and show voltage, temperature, pressure, etc. Push button elements can be used to create turn on/off external electrical devices or operate internal controls. Event counter elements available let you count pulses, external contact closures, or internal events. Event timers allow time between external switch or contact closures to be read off easily. Slider controls will let you adjust output voltages up or down with the mouse. Light elements on-screen can be triggered by external contact closures or internal alarms. Log functions of two kinds are available. One is “log to file” that lets you record the sent data from any of the screen objects to a file while the “log to Web” is used to upload the contents of the log file to the internet. Scheduled tasks and conditional statements could be created. Chart recorder elements help display continuous charts of different functions. This is a very good tool.
