Editor's review

Component library that lets you implement encryption/decryption by AES method.

MarshallSoft Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Library for Visual FoxPro is a component library of functions used to perform encryption and decryption using the "Advanced Encryption Standard" (AES) as specified by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). AES is considered "strong encryption". This is intended to replace the earlier DES standard. Organizations needing strong protection particularly many financial institutions and banks uses these standards. This library has been verified by running the "Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm Validation Suite" (AESAVS) and is a part of the Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm Validation Suite. These DLLS work in all versions of Windows both Win32 and Win64 versions. The library contains both versions of the DLLs. It is illegal to use this technology in your products in some countries. These components should not be downloaded by users in these countries.

You are not supposed to sell your products into these countries, either; the products you have created incorporating these components in particular. This library implements the 256-bit "Advanced Encryption Standard" and supports both ECB (Electronic Cookbook) and the CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) modes. Technical support and free updates are available for one year from the date of purchases. The developed product can be distributed royalty free, the developers do not charge any royalties for distributing the library. The program can be used in either GUI or console mode programs. This tool Works with all versions of 32-bit Microsoft Visual FoxPro. No other libraries need to be supported. The program you develop can just call the Windows API. The package could be purchased with C source code for the DLL, if you like. This is a very good tool.

Publisher's description

The MarshallSoft AES Visual FoxPro Library (AES4FP) is a toolkit that allows software developers to easily implement strong
encryption and decryption into a Windows FoxPro application.
AES4FP is a component (DLL) library that provides an easy interface to to perform encryption and decryption using the 256-bit Rijndael "Advanced Encryption Standard" (AES) as specified by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).The AES algorithm is commonly used by many financial entities such as banks to protect their customer's sensitive information.
Some of the features of AES4FP are:
- Performs 256-bit AES encryption & decryption.
- Does key generation from password phrases.
- Encrypts & decrypt files, strings, and byte data.
- Implements buffer padding (spaces, zeros, random bytes).
- Supports initialization vectors.
- Supports CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) mode.
- Supports ECB (Electronic Cookbook) mode.
- Supports SHA-256 cryptographic hash algorithm
- Does random byte data generation.
- Allows concurrent encryption/decryption threads.
- Validated using "known answer tests" published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
- Comes with both 32-bit and 64-bit DLLs.
- Supports all versions of 32-bit Visual FoxPro
- Can be used by C/C++/C#, Delphi, Visual Basic, Power BASIC, FoxPro, dBase, XBase, & COBOL.
- Makes calls to Windows API functions only.
- Works on Windows 95.through Windows 8.
- Free technical support and updates for one year.
- Royalty free distribution with your compiled application.
- Purchase with or without C source code for the DLLs.
Supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/2003/2012/XP/Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8. Fully functional evaluation version available.
