A download management software to greatly simplify as speed up the process of downloading files from the web.
Features: Kooloader is a download management tool. The great benefit of such tools is the fact that downloads can be paused and resumed at will, and will be automatically stopped / started based on network connectivity and whether or not the system is ON / OFF. Thus pending downloads are resumed on restarting the computer. Kooloader does all this and more. It allows for up to 99 files being downloaded at the same time (although users may want to watch out for this feature, depending on how fast their internet connection is).
The scheduler is a valuable addition that enables you to defer or postpone the downloading of a file. For example you may want to download a file when you are not using the computer or internet connection actively, like when you are sleeping. Error recovery adds to the automatic resumption capability (in case of a system crash, the software can figure out where it left-off and resume from there). It also features smart file management and has support for many languages. Download acceleration is provided through an adaptive acceleration tool with controllable settings.
Overall: Nice software but with a few limitations. Although the software is designed for simplicity (not too many bells and whistles to confuse the user) there is one part of the download process that has not be simplified to the extent that it should have: once a user enters the URL to download from, Kooloader does not automatically start downloading, the user has to click on OK before it will do so, this is a severe, unnecessary overhead. The interface is unattractive and too many windows for comfort, and in turn adding to usage time.
