This is a multimedia editing, recording and broadcasting tool.

Director2 is the Windows-based software workstation for multimedia editing, recording and broadcasting. HD is supported besides support for a whole range of SD video formats. The required facilities for high quality production are available. Units such as special effect switching unit, VGA capture, camera capture, video capture, CG editor, webcam capture , motion capture, subtitler, chromakey, virtual cam, video recorders, network broadcasting system, simple drive broadcasting system and linear editing systems are included. The system uses three to ten input channels and these can be switched in real time. These channels can carry analog or digital device, real-time network steaming, files, pictures, etc. VGA capture through the VJVGA function lets you capture the full-screen or a part of it from the connected computer. The system lets you add various 2D and 3D switch effects which can be extended, customized and upgraded.

Several output methods are available. These include real-time streaming (MMS etc.), AVI /WMV files, Virtual device output, hardware device output(via Decklink or a 1394 card). A lot of real-time subtitle, logos can be supported through its CG editor which has various effects like clock, etc. When you graduate to a full licensed version, you could choose from four editions of the software available. These are streaming, standard, ultimate and deluxe. You could choose one depending on your current and anticipated needs. The interface is well laid out. This should be easy to use for the video professionals. The tools are organized in an intuitive manner. The color scheme used gives the tool a professional electronic equipment feel. This is a very good tool for video production.
