Editor's review

This is a graphics program that displays virtual flowers and other changing geometrical patterns.

This program creates flowers and geometrical patterns in 3D. These figures keep changing. For example, the flowers keep growing. It is quite pleasing to watch these dynamic figures; particularly, the flowers growing over time. With geometric patterns it could be a swirling pattern of stars suddenly coalescing into a geodesic sphere. The program will create a forest of rustling leaves or an island with exotic flowers and move through the landscape. The flowers created are very small in size, thus could easily be included into other 3D scenes. The program uses VRML format. You could thus use this to create attractive content on your website. That gives you an interesting way to create some “stickiness” for your visitors. The content created could be saved as animated GIFs, flash animated JPEGs, flash movies, or animation frames in many image formats including PNG, JPEG, GIF or bitmaps.

This program could help you create 3D anaglyph pairs that give you the illusion of a very realistic 3D view of the scene. Tree and flower animations could be selected from options available with the program. Displays with higher refresh rates like 400 Hz will display the animations well. On displays of 60 HZ, older designs the animations are likely to look flickering. These can be installed as wallpapers and it could be quite pleasing when you are destined to spend a lot of time in front of the display of your computer. This is a very good product. If you are looking for a similar solution, you should try it in your exact workflow.

Publisher's description

Create flowers and geometrical patterns in 3D. Watch them grow or unfold. A swirling pattern of stars suddenly coalesces into a geodesic sphere with all the points gracefully touching. Navigate a forest of rustling leaves, or visit an island with exotic flowers. The files are extremely tiny, most are four or five KB, suitable for inclusion in larger 3D scenes. Uses the VRML format which can be embedded in web pages - you need the Cortona plug in to view them.
Or save as animated gifs, flash animated jpegs, flash movies, or animation frames in many image formats such as pngs, jpegs, gifs or bitmaps
You can also make anaglyph flowers which spring into 3D when you view them using
red/ blue anaglyph specs - coloured anaglyphs in fact. Also make stereoscopic images. Also use to explore shapes in higher dimesions of space - tesseracts, simplexes, the spectacular 120 cell with 120 dodecahderon faces and many more, watch them as the shapes twist and change as you see them in different perspectives in 4D.
Comes with a scene that shows each of your virtual flowers at random. You can install this as a screen saver using the Cortona Screen Saver accompanied by a random music clip from the companion program Fractal Tune Smithy.
