Household Accounting Book 5.0 is a free software program to manage your personal and/or business related expenses. This tool will give you the means to evaluate incomes and where exactly the money is being spent. The tool provides graphical tools that make the overall picture very clear very quickly. The tool has undergone some seven updates already and one could expect fairly stable and bug-free operation. This program is a freeware and can be used for an unlimited time. If and when you are ready to open your purse there are additional functions that come with the paid version. These additional functions include shopping list with memory function, bonus accounts; user defined graphical evaluation and print option of the graphical evaluation, etc. become available for more sophisticated analysis on your part.

The interface is simple and well laid out, most people should be able to get productive quite quickly. It displays input/expenses fields as data table on the right hand side in the display area. You get to see the details for every month. The overall profit or loss every month is calculated. The current version will let you carry over your income and fix expenses into the following months. Monthly overview, yearly overview, and yearly development, user defined charts make analysis of your finances very quickly and easily. Couple of handy additions available is a calculator and a currency calculator. This is a nice and handy tool for home or small business accounting.

The data input created with the input/expense fields is listed in the data-tables on the right hand side for each month. The evaluation field shows your monthly income along with your expenses and computes automatically the profit or loss. With version 5.0 you can carry over your income and fix expenses into the following months. To better evaluate your data you can create a number of different charts (monthly overview, yearly overview, and yearly development, user defined). You can also print your tables and charts (print function for graphics only available in full version).
